Professional Statement
Currently, I am a senior student at Kansas State University. My major is in Electrical Engineering with specialization area in Integrated Circuits. I grow up in the northern mainland part of China. I was in the English Language Program for the first semester at K-State. After improving my English, I took classes towards my major, such as engineering physics, circuit theory, calculus, statistics, electronics, applied scientific computing, linear system, microcontroller, and so on. During this period of studies, I gradually knew about engineering skills and processes. Also, these classes prepared me well for my area of specialization. With more knowledge about my major, I am more interested in Electrical Engineering, and I am excited to study further classes.
Next semester is my last semester for my undergraduate studies. I am looking forward to taking classes like Optical-Electronics and Senior Design next semester. I will continue to study hard and try to earn a high grade for my classes. After earning my Bachelor's Degree, I will continue my education to obtain a Master's Degree in EE. Then I hope to get a job related to my major either in China or English speaking countries. Specifically, I hope to enter a technological company, such as Apple or Samsung, to build and design electronic devices. If I have a chance later, I would like to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) as well because I am also interested in Business.
My experience in America has improved my English and professionalism. Studying abroad has greatly improved my self-discipline, life skills, and interpersonal skills. I have learned perseverance through working in the dish room at a dining center for one year and a half. These skills will help me excel in any career path. I will continuously pursue ways to improve my problem solving, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
